Return checker: until when can it go back?

How it works

Pick your shop and the day your parcel arrived. You’ll see your last return day straight away. Free, and you don’t have to fill in anything about yourself.

More parcels? Work them out one by one. Every parcel has its own last day, because they arrive on different days. Or let OEPS! do it.

How we count

  • The clock starts the day after your parcel arrives. If it came on 1 December, then 2 December is day 1.
  • If the shop gives you more time than the law, we use the shop’s period. We take it from the shop’s own website every month.
  • Discount or not: on Black Friday you have exactly the same cooling-off period as always.

With every web shop, Dutch law gives you at least 14 days to change your mind after delivery. Let the shop know by this day that you’re sending it back. After that you have another 14 days to post it.

Frequently asked questions

Does the day of delivery count?

No. The cooling-off period starts the day after you received the parcel. If one order arrives in several parcels, it starts when the last parcel arrives.

My shop isn’t in the list. What now?

Choose "Another web shop". Then we use the 14-day cooling-off period that applies to every web shop. Then check the shop’s terms to see if you get more time.

Does this also apply when I buy in a regular shop?

No. In a regular shop there is no legal cooling-off period. Whether you can exchange or return something is up to the shop. Ask at the till.

Is Black Friday different?

No. A discount doesn’t change your cooling-off period. Your parcels do arrive on different days, so every parcel has its own last day.

What happens to what I fill in here?

Nothing. The return checker works everything out on your own phone or computer. We don’t store your shop or date.
