How long is the warranty?

  • At least 2 years of manufacturer’s warranty on most products.
  • 5 years of manufacturer’s warranty on BlueBuilt products.
  • Within 30 days of purchase: money back or an exchange if it’s defective.
  • Second Chance products: 30-day satisfaction guarantee, then the regular warranty.

How to claim warranty

  1. Register the repair with the online return form, or in a Coolblue store.
  2. In the store you can bring the product in its packaging. That’s faster than by post.

What isn’t covered?

  • Damage you caused yourself (user damage) isn’t covered by the warranty. You’ll get a quote instead.

Good to know

  • If you send the product yourself and it doesn’t arrive within 14 days of registering, the repair is cancelled automatically.
  • If you want the product back without a repair after user damage, that costs €65 in inspection costs.
  • For large products such as white goods, a technician usually comes to you. This is listed in the specifications as on-site service.

Your legal rights (Dutch law)

  • In the Netherlands there is no fixed legal warranty period. How long a product has to last depends on the type of product, the price and what the seller promised.
  • Within 12 months of purchase, the seller has to prove that a problem was caused by you. After that, you have to show that the product is at fault.
  • If something is defective, the seller has to come up with a solution: free repair, a new product or your money back. Normal wear and tear and damage you caused yourself are not covered.
