Decathlon warranty

In short

On Decathlon’s own brands (such as Quechua, Rockrider and Kipsta) you get at least 2 years of warranty on manufacturing defects. For some products it’s longer. You report it in a store with your receipt, or online with your order number.

How long is the warranty?

  • Own brands: at least 2 years on manufacturing defects.
  • Tents and football goals: 3 to 5 years.
  • Rigid frames, handlebars and stems of Decathlon bikes: lifetime.
  • Second Life items: 1 year.
  • Garmin, Polar, Fitbit and Coros watches: 2 years on manufacturing defects.
  • Products from partners: the period differs per seller. Check the product page.

How to claim warranty

  1. Bought in a store: take the product with your receipt to a Decathlon store.
  2. Ordered online: take it to a store, or report the defect online with your order number and photos or a video of the defect (10 MB max).
  3. Partner product: report it online. The request then goes to the partner.
  4. Watch: report it to the manufacturer (fastest route) or hand it in at a store with proof of purchase.

Good to know

  • Online order from another country (order number with BE, FR or DE)? Then it’s handled by customer service in that country.
  • Phone: 085 0003 637, Monday to Saturday 9:00 to 12:00. Chat: Monday to Saturday 13:00 to 17:00.

Your legal rights (Dutch law)

  • In the Netherlands there is no fixed legal warranty period. How long a product has to last depends on the type of product, the price and what the seller promised.
  • Within 12 months of purchase, the seller has to prove that a problem was caused by you. After that, you have to show that the product is at fault.
  • If something is defective, the seller has to come up with a solution: free repair, a new product or your money back. Normal wear and tear and damage you caused yourself are not covered.
