bol warranty
At bol, the manufacturer’s warranty applies (how long differs per product), on top of the legal warranty. If you bought it from bol itself, you start a repair in Mijn bol (My bol). If it’s from a bol partner, you go to that partner.

How long is the warranty?
- Manufacturer’s warranty: the manufacturer decides how long it lasts, and it’s usually in the booklet in the box.
- Some items have no manufacturer’s warranty, such as consumables (shampoo, nappies).
- A repair usually takes 15 working days.
How to claim warranty
- Still within the return period? Then register a return (free) and order a new item.
- After that: start a repair request in Mijn bol (My bol), at your order. Don’t see that button? Contact bol customer service.
- You get a step-by-step plan for sending it. You don’t need to print a shipping label.
- The repair only starts after your approval, with a cost estimate up front.
bol’s website and customer service are in Dutch. Where a menu or button is named, the English meaning is in brackets.
What do you need?
- Your invoice or proof of purchase. You’ll find it with your order in Mijn bol (My bol).

What isn’t covered?
- Normal use is the condition. With abnormal use, or outside the warranty, a repair is still possible, but you pay for it.
Good to know
- Bought from a bol partner? Then report it to that partner, not through Mijn bol.
- If you want your item back without a repair, you pay €19.95 in inspection costs. With a repair technician at home it’s €80 if you then decide against the repair.
- For large and heavy items (Netherlands and Belgium only) an appointment is scheduled, often within 48 hours.
Your legal rights (Dutch law)
- In the Netherlands there is no fixed legal warranty period. How long a product has to last depends on the type of product, the price and what the seller promised.
- Within 12 months of purchase, the seller has to prove that a problem was caused by you. After that, you have to show that the product is at fault.
- If something is defective, the seller has to come up with a solution: free repair, a new product or your money back. Normal wear and tear and damage you caused yourself are not covered.
