Gamma warranty
Gamma uses the manufacturer’s warranty period (shown on the packaging), on top of your legal warranty, which has no fixed period. Within 30 days you report a defect to customer service or in the store. After that you go to a Gamma DIY store, even if you bought online.

How long is the warranty?
- Manufacturer’s warranty: the manufacturer’s period. It differs per brand and is on the packaging.
- Legal warranty: no fixed period. Gamma assesses it per type of item.
- The first 30 days are the inspection period.
How to claim warranty
- Within 30 days, bought online: contact customer service straight away. Bought in the store: go to the store with your receipt.
- After 30 days: go to a Gamma DIY store, even for an online purchase. Can’t you bring the product, or has it already been installed? Then contact customer service.
- Within 30 days you usually get a new or similar product of the same value. If it’s out of stock, it can often be ordered. If it can’t be replaced, you usually get your money back, with a few exceptions.
- After 30 days Gamma repairs the product. If that isn’t possible, Gamma works out another solution with you.
Gamma’s website and customer service are in Dutch. Where a menu or button is named, the English meaning is in brackets.
What do you need?
- Proof of purchase: your receipt, or your invoice for an online order. That counts as your proof of warranty.
- Lost your receipt or invoice? With a Gamma account or discount card you can find a copy. Online invoices are in the order confirmation email. You can request a copy of a store receipt up to 15 months back at the DIY store.

Your legal rights (Dutch law)
- In the Netherlands there is no fixed legal warranty period. How long a product has to last depends on the type of product, the price and what the seller promised.
- Within 12 months of purchase, the seller has to prove that a problem was caused by you. After that, you have to show that the product is at fault.
- If something is defective, the seller has to come up with a solution: free repair, a new product or your money back. Normal wear and tear and damage you caused yourself are not covered.
